A Religous Plea for a Ceasefire

The overall rejection of Russia's proposed Ceasefire, as coming from Ukraine and the war-providing US and Nato, is that Russia must be wanting a break, so that it can 'catch it's breath', or another media narrative is that Russia is just trying to re-group and re-supply itself. Two days of ceasefire, and you think this makes any real difference at all?? ..like 2 days of peace would help them re-supply? Who is saying such unintelligent nonsense?

And what about the Ukrainian soldiers in the mud and freezing cold? Ask them about a ceasefire? Don't they need a break? No, of course they don't, according to Zelensky sitting in his warm office and eating the best of meals. And of course none of the soldiers need a break, according to western governing elites sitting in their warm offices and eating the best of meals. Over a hundred thousand people dead in one year... (on both sides) and three times that are injured.

And is anyone aware of the real facts here... The Russians have been occupying more land every day. They are not losing! Let's get some real facts here, folks. Ukraine, you are losing! Stop fantasizing! You should have not listened to the western “advisors”. You should have made a peace deal before all this got worse and worse. You think that Nato Europe and the US are going to enter into an all-out war with Russia, in order to save you from making some compromises in a peace deal?

Most of the whole world wants you to just make a peace agreement, an stop this war … which is producing vast economic hardships on European and the US citizens ...(unless one happens to be wealthy). Make a Peace Deal,
and let the world move on --- to solving the urgent problems of our time.

Ukraine listen. We all are care about you. But the US and Nato is only backing you and goading you to fight on, because it's 'in the US and Nato interests' to weaken Russia, militarily and economically. You're being used, you're being played. As the warhawk US Senator Graham said this summer, “As long as we help Ukraine with the weapons, it will fight to the last man.” And as was said on fox tv by the retired Oliver North (who led the battle against freedom fighters in Central America during the 80s), “The Ukrainian people are willing to use their blood and our bullets.”
- In other words, we'll keep sending you weapons – If you keep on fighting the Russians. The senator and other warhawks do not really care about the many thousands of Ukrainians injured and killed. They want you to continue fighting, no matter what the human costs are. And has been said by many in the US media-news, that sending the weapons and providing the money is a “good investment” for the US. The money spent is worth it, because it serves “our interests” --- well not really the interests of average Americans.. but it does serve the interests of wealthy investors in the military and weapons industry. So thanks Ukrainian soldiers, and keep on fighting till “the last man.”

Support a Ceasefire in Ukraine.

Putin is ordering Russian troops to observe a Ceasefire in Ukraine during the Russian Orthodox Christmas.

Send messages to President Biden and US Congress members to support this Christmas Ceasefire in Ukraine. Any ceasefire of violence and killing is worthy of supporting. Otherwise, what are you supporting? ...more killing of course.

Let us tell the American leaders and Ukraine to support any kind of ceasefire – rather than continue the nonsense rhetoric of "leaders', such as in response to this proposed ceasefire.

Is Ukraine's and America's rejection of a ceasefire at all rational?
What is your problem with a ceasefire?

Biden's response was that Putin is “trying to find some oxygen”. ha ha. You have more jokes? What a jerky response. Who's writing this stuff for Biden? That's not even close to being a rational intelligent response to a proposal for stopping the fighting for a few days. What's your problem with a ceasefire? Answer that, and stop the cute replies. Over a $100 Billion of our taxpayer money has been sent there, and over 100 thousand are dead on both sides, and the Ukrainian landscape is demolished and full of land mines, and the cost of reconstruction will be close a $Trillion, ...and America does not support a ceasefire nor any peace talks? WE are the one's paying for most of this! Tell Ukraine to have a ceasefire and get on with making a peace agreement – so that we can move on to paying for more important things.

Biden's script writers can only come up with playground cliches. “yeh, he's trying to find oxygen!”, or “I'm not gonna talk with Putin!” But why aren't you talking with Putin? Is that supposed to be regarded as courage or leadership? What kind of world leader are you, Biden? All the other world leaders have talked with Putin and want peace... Where are you? Americans ought to be humiliated with our so-called “world leadership”. America and Biden, stop being a jerk.

Joe, just simply call up Zelensky and Putin, and let's have a ceasefire and then let's get this dumb and tragic war over with!

What is your problem with a ceasefire? Just answer that! .. and without the stupid cute jokes. It's like two gangs fighting, and you're yelling “Keep on fighting... more blood, more blood! No breaks!” ...when you should be yelling, “Hey, stop the fighting and take a break, and let's all talk about how to end this!” Does it hurt to stop and think about this? Does it hurt to talk?

A ceasefire plea is made by a major religion, but the US and Ukraine cannot even respect that?? So much for American ideals of respect for all religions.

This is an opportunity for Ukraine, the US, and NATO countries to respect and support a ceasefire, and it is one step towards peace between Ukraine and Russia, or at least a step towards actual peace talks... and starting those peace talks.. without any preconditions for starting them. Any degree of a ceasefire can help set the stage for a compromising peace agreement to end the war ... a war that could easily or accidentally escalate into a Euro-Russian war, or even a nuclear war.

Is this war in Ukraine really worth all the risks involved, and all the killing and all the billions of dollars to support it? ... while many of the poor people of Europe and also of America are suffering from the economic problems this war is caused, and in poorer countries throughout the world millions of people are starving because of this war since they can't pay for their food.
– Is prolonging this war really worth all that? Most of the world is suffering from this war, and thousands are being injured or killed. Just End It.

President Biden and US Congress, Ukraine and Russia – most of world is asking for you to please end the war. The entire world is crying out for an end to this war. Maybe a Ceasefire can be a step towards a peace dialogue, and the beginning of international peace and cooperation in the Euro-Asian Region.

Why is the US wasting time in supporting a peace agreement? – For afterall, there will have to be a peace agreement at some time! (and Ukraine and Russia will need to get along peacefully).

– The only possible reason for 'not making peace' is a hope that Ukraine will completely win over Russia. ...BUT, most of the top military analysts say this war is not winnable – and that some kind of negotiated compromised settlement will be necessary to end this. Each side has satellite access to see eachother's movements, and each side has precision bombing. So Who can possibly win? ...It's just going to be a continuance of mutual destruction, killing and suffering.

But the US wants to just prolong the misery and expense of this unwinnable war?

US President and Congress, Zelensky and Ukraine – Stop wasting anymore time, stop wasting anymore money, and stop wasting anymore lives? Agree to a Ceasefire and Make a Peace Agreement ...Sooner rather than later! ...like Now!

Also, it's such a sham and a shame that the Orthodox Russian Church, which proposed this Christmas Ceasefire, is being falsely accused of being politically motivated, when in it's fundamental Christian Principles and Beliefs, it is as true to Christianity as any other sect. It is true that the Church gives some assistance to those in need, including Russian soldiers, but the Church's primary aim is to serve God.

The Russian Orthodox Church’s Plea for a Ceasefire is for humanitarian aims and is in accord with a Ceasefire Plea signed by over 1,000 faith-based organizations, by ministers, priests, rabbis and imams, in hopes of ending the fighting that has taken thousands of lives, displaced millions, further degraded the climate and worsened global hunger.

Christmas Ceasefire

And Note that a ceasefire does not need to be 'just for religious reasons' – Have a Ceasefire anytime! And maintain a ceasefire ...Until a peace settlement is made. And instead of Ukraine's 'proposal' for a peace summit with the UN (yet.. without Russia invited to the negotiations!) – How about having UN Peacekeeping Troops maintain peace in the conflict zones while the peace talks go on? How about that idea?
